Philips Oneblade and Mkers present WePlay a mainstream format dedicated to the integration between the gaming industry and traditional football

Philips OneBlade, in collaboration with Mkers, a leader in the Italian Esports sector, is proud to announce the launch of 'WePlay,' an original docuseries exploring the connection between the world of traditional football and the universe of gaming. This innovative series is part of the collaboration that Philips OneBlade has had with Mkers since 2022 and is available exclusively on DAZN starting today, June 3, 2024, also in a free version.
'WePlay' delves into Esports culture through the eyes of iconic football figures and popular content creators, investigating how digital is influencing the traditional football industry. Tommaso Turci, a DAZN host and journalist, guides viewers on a six-episode journey, where the voices of some of the most important figures in the football world narrate the industry from various perspectives.
The series production was handled by DAZN and MKERS, with a communication strategy developed by OMD, the media agency of Omnicom Media Group, and brand activation activities managed by FUSE. Each episode explores a different theme, from the fusion of Esports with football clubs to the impact of GenZ in gaming.

The series features testimonials from individuals who will share their experiences and views on this sporting evolution.
From Daniele De Rossi and Ruud Gullit, legends and pioneering investors in the Esports sector, to Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Parolo, also investors and experts in both sectors, the testimonial lineup continues with international clubs like Atletico Madrid and Besiktas, which increasingly integrate gaming experiences to engage younger fans, and young footballers passionate about gaming like Kayode and Cheddira.
